چکیده

Abstract CuO nanoparticles doped with various concentrations of ZnO (5, 10, and 15 mol%) were synthesized by using the solution combustion method. The as-synthesized characterized x-ray diffractometer (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission (TEM), UV–Vis spectroscope. XRD analysis revealed that physical parameters such as crystallite size lattice affected after doping ZnO. spectrum showed an enhanced absorption narrowed down bandgap from 2.6 eV to 2.16 resulted in increasing optical activity. photocatalytic activities sample investigated degradation organic dyes direct green (DG) fast blue (FB) under UV light irradiation. highest efficiency is obtained (10 at 95.15% 76.4% for DG FB dyes. electrochemical properties Zn-CuO performed cyclic voltammetry results confirmed enhancement redox potential output. These CuO@ZnO electrodes also displayed capacity detect extremely dangerous chemical like arsenic.

Synthesis of CuO-ZnO Nanocomposite and Its Photocatalytic Activity

In this paper, CuO-ZnO nanocomposite was synthesized and its photocatalytic dye degradation ability from colored wastewater was studied. Basic Red 18 (BR18) and Basic Violet 16 (BV16) were used as model dyes. The characteristics of CuO-ZnO of were investigated using Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Photocatalytic dy...

Investigating structural, optical and photocatalytic properties of hydrothermally synthesized ZnO nanorod arrays with various aspect ratios

ZnO nanorods with various aspect ratios (by changing the time of growth between 0-240 min) were synthesized using hydrothermal method and were investigated using XRD, SEM, UV–Vis and PL. It was found that growth time is directly coupled with the length, orientation and aspect ratio of the nanorod arrays. The optical transmittance of the NR arrays indicated a regular decrement of average transmi...

Investigation of Photocatalytic Activity of Nd-Doped ZnO Nanoparticles Using Brilliant Green Dye: Synthesis and Characterization

An Nd doped ZnO (1-5%) photocatalyst was successfully synthesized via chemical co-precipitation method. The optical property, nature, and morphology of the synthesized nanoparticles were analyzed by UV-Visible, XRD, and FESEM respectively. XRD study reveals that Nd has been effectively incorporated in the ZnO lattice in the lower level dosage; however, the crystalline nature has been distor...
